Jeffery Otis Wright, 54, of Indianapolis,
Indiana passed away last Friday April
20th at his home surrounded by his
family and friends.
He leaves behind his wife of nine years,
Della RaNae (Ellis) Wright; his three
sons; James, Wayne, and Josh;
stepdaughter Jamie; sisters Theresa and
Tina; brother Lynn; six grandchildren,
and many friends. He is preceded in
death by mother Geneva (Garrett)
Ragland and father Tom Wright.
A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Jeff
got his GED from high school and
proceded on to graduate from Lincoln
Tech in 1988. He then went on to
recieve many certifications becoming
an ASE Certified Master Mechanic in
1990. Jeff worked as a mechhanic for
almost 30 years gaining a reputation for
being able to fix anything that ran or
had wheels.
A devoted family man, Jeff enjoyed any
activity that allowed him to spend time
with them. Jeff loved the outdoors and
summers would find him camping,
fishing or having a barbecue in the back
yard.
In his personal time, Jeff loved to spend
time in his workshop making things for
his home, outside caring for his flowers
and plants (he had an amazing green
thumb) or sitting on the front porch
swing watching the neighborhood kids
play.
Jeff also loved to get his Harley out and
ride whether it was to take a trip or just
ride around the block to say “hey” to a
neighbor. He also loved to sing Kareoke
and would often have a stack of
requests as he was one of those people
who could really sing well.
There will be a celebration of life for
Jeff at his home on Saturday April 28th.
In lieu of cut flowers we ask you bring
your favorite perennials or potting
plants to add to the garden he loved so
well.

Jeff was always good to me and my heart goes out to his family for their loss. I’m playing the song “Back to the Basics of Love” by Waylon Jennings for Jeff.
